F.A.Q.
I get the same questions every week. How far ahead do I need to order. Do you deliver. Can you do a Haitian cake for my mother's baptism. What does $220 actually get me.
I love that people ask. It means you're planning something that matters. But I'd rather you find the answer at 11pm on a Tuesday when you're scrolling through cake photos and can't sleep, instead of waiting on me to check my messages between bakes.
So here it is. Everything I know you're wondering, written out plainly. Pricing, lead times, delivery, allergies, corporate orders, and yes, the Haitian cakes I taught myself how to refine and now make in my own kitchen in Bridgewater.
Read through it. Then send me your form. Let's build something.
How far in advance should I order a custom cake?
Two weeks is my sweet spot for most custom cakes. Anything with a lot of hand-piping, sugar work, or multiple tiers, give me three to four. That said, my calendar isn't always full. If your date is sooner than that, send the form anyway and I'll tell you honestly what I can do.
Do you deliver?
Yes. I deliver throughout Bridgewater and the surrounding South Shore, and I go into Boston for larger orders. Delivery is quoted by distance and starts at $25. Pickup from my Bridgewater kitchen is always free, and I'll walk you out to your car with it.
If its a tall cake, the trunk of your car is the best place for it, or flat on the floor. My cake boxes as well as the cake are fragile, you'll want to protect your investment.
What flavors do you offer?
My menu is Haitian at its core with a few classics I couldn't leave off. Gâteau Haïtien Moelleux and Gâteau au Rhum are what people come back for. I also make a Pineapple Upside-Down Cake, Pecan Rhum, Gâteau au Chocolat, Vanilla De Luxe, and a Strawberry Crunch I named the Michaëlle. Fillings run from Brown Butter Rhum Cream to Guava Curd to Pistachio Praline Crunch. The full list is on the order form.
I also offer vegan cakes by request as well as sugar free (monkfruit sugar replacement) vanilla.
Yes. There is also a secret menu IYKYK.
Do you make Haitian cakes?
This is what I'm known for. Gâteau Haïtien Moelleux (Moist Haitian Cake) is the cake I wanted every time I went to an event and was just disappointed. If you're planning a Haitian wedding, baptism, or fèt and you want the real thing done beautifully, you're in the right place.
What does a custom cake cost?
Custom cakes start at $220. That number reflects real time: designing with you, sourcing what I need, baking from scratch, and building it by hand in my own kitchen. Final pricing depends on size, tiers, and how detailed the design is. I'll give you an exact quote after I see your request.
Do you take corporate orders?
I do. Client gifts, office celebrations, holiday spreads, and event catering. I can invoice, and I have a W-9 available for your accounting team. Select "Corporate" on the order form and tell me your headcount and timeline, and I'll put together a proposal.
Do you handle allergies?
I'm ServeSafe and allergen certified, and I take this seriously. Tell me every restriction on the order form and I'll tell you honestly whether I can accommodate it. I bake in a home kitchen where nuts, dairy, eggs, wheat, and soy are all present, so I can't guarantee a fully allergen-free environment. I can work around specific ingredients in your cake itself.
How do I book?
Fill out the order form. I'll reply within 24 to 48 hours to confirm availability and send your quote. Your date is held once you approve the quote and pay the 50% non-refundable deposit. Until then, the date is open to anyone.
Where are you located?
I bake out of my licensed cottage kitchen in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. I'm not a storefront, so pickups are scheduled by appointment. You'll get the address and a pickup window once your order is confirmed.
Can I order cookies or smaller items?
Yes. My Caramélisse is a salted brown butter chocolate chip toffee cookie with Maldon and a dusting of Haitian cocoa, and it's the one people order by the dozen. I also make Crookies, LemonLannes, Bonbon Amidon, and Dous Makos cookies. Smaller batches and market items go up on Hotplate. Larger cookie orders and favors go through the order form.
